PS Supports Homeland Security Efforts

Professional Solutions is currently providing support to several organizations in the effort to increase Homeland Security. These organizations include the Foreign Terrorist Tracking Task Force (FBI Counterterrorism Task Force) and the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC).

The Foreign Terrorist Tracking Task Force is a government agency developed to help identify and track foreigners who are residing in the United States illegally. The participants in the FBI Counterterrorism Task Force include the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security's Bureaus of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Customs and Border Protection, the State Department, the Social Security Administration, the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Energy and the Central Intelligence Agency. To date, liaisons have been established with Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. The mission of the FBI Counterterrorism Task Force is to provide information that helps keep foreign terrorists and their supporters out of the U.S. or leads to their removal, detention, prosecution or other legal action. To accomplish this mission, the FBI Counterterrorism Task Force has facilitated and coordinated information sharing agreements among these participating agencies and other public and proprietary companies to assist in locating terrorists and their supporters who are, or have been, in the U.S. Professional Solutions is supporting FBI Counterterrorism Task Force by providing the following positions:
- Data librarian
- Deployment specialist
- Data requirements analyst

The Terrorist Screening Center, located in Crystal City, was established in December 2003. It is a multi-agency center, anchored by the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security and State and the Intelligence Community, and administered by the FBI. The main goal of the TSC is to consolidate terrorist watch lists and provide 24/7 operational support for thousands of federal screeners world-wide. The Center will ensure that government investigators, screeners and agents are working off the same unified, comprehensive set of anti-terrorist information — and that they have access to information and expertise that will allow them to act quickly when a suspected terrorist is screened or stopped. Professional Solutions supports the TSC by providing IT solutions as well as administrative support. Our support includes:
