ProSol Employees Support Successful Holiday Drives
ProSol supported this important program by having 7 drop off locations in the northern Virginia and DC area including Alexandria, Crystal City, Quantico as well as our office in Jacksonville, NC. Given the overwhelming response, the Marine Corps Reserve brought a U-Haul to pick up all the wonderful toys. We also were able to donate a sizable number of toys on Christmas Eve to the Children’s Medical Center in Washington DC.
In addition to the Toys for Tots drive, ProSol jointly supported SOME (So Others Might Eat). SOME is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. It meets the immediate daily needs of the people it serves with food, clothing, and health care. It helps break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. ProSol had three drop off locations to collect warm clothing and food donations and as a result donated two very large loads of warm clothes, nonperishable food donations as well as $225 in Giant gift cards to families in need in our local area over the holidays.
