Professional Solutions is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions at Quantico:
Research Analysts assist the Curriculum Support Section of the Center for Advanced Operational Culture Learning in developing training materials and research products in support of operational culture and language training for the United States Marine Corps. Research Analysts conduct in-depth research projects in support of CAOCL’s mission. These research products will require original research to address deficiencies in the Marine Corps’ Operational Culture capabilities. Research Analysts must be prepared to lead a team of other Research Analysts and Curriculum Writers, including planning, allocation of resources and personnel, and supervision in the execution of these projects. Research Analysts will conduct formal curriculum development for CAOCL according to the Marine Corps’ Systems Approach to Training. They will lead a team of other Research Analysts and Curriculum writers in developing formal Programs of Instruction to support CAOCL training. Research Analysts will provide direct support to CAOCL’s regional Desk Officers and Pre-Deployment Training Instructors as required by CAOCL’s mission. Research Analysts will be assigned a region of the world according to the needs and priorities of CAOCL’s mission. They will be responsible for researching elements of Operational Culture for this region according to the framework established by CAOCL. The research will be used to populate a Program of Instruction in accordance with the Marine Corps’ Systems Approach to Training in order to support Pre-Deployment Training and the Career Marine Regional Studies Program. Research Analysts will be called upon to brief the findings of their research to the CAOCL staff and other elements within and outside the Marine Corps. Research Analysts will also be prepared to conduct a variety of ad hoc tasks in support of CAOCL’s mission. These group or individual tasks require Research Analysts to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking in the execution of their duties. Such tasks may include: Evaluating CAOCL’s training programs, Liaising with other organization that can contribute to CAOCL’s mission, Producing consolidate reports of CAOCL interviews and debriefs, Conducting a Professional Development program for CAOCL staff.
Additional Skill Requirements:
Exceptional Writing, Speaking, and Briefing Skills; Competence with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Internet-based research; Exceptional Interpersonal Skills and Individual Motivation and Project Development and Leadership Skills
Military or Intelligence Experience, Foreign Language Ability, Extensive Travel to or Residence in Foreign Countries and Advanced Computer Skills in Databasing, Web Design and Editing Ability
Education:
Masters Degree (preferred) in an appropriate discipline Including, but not limited to; History, Political Science, Anthropology, Sociology or Education. Academic and work experience must include: Research and analysis, Curriculum development or Specific knowledge of a region or topic critical to CAOCL’s mission.
Clearance: Secret; (Top Secret preferred)
