ProSol’s 5 th annual charity golf tournament, the Doug Zembiec Memorial Golf Tournament, was held on Friday, July 24 at Fort Belvoir Golf Club with proceeds benefitting TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). With the help of generous corporate sponsorships and donations, ProSol was able to raise $50,000 for this charity which provides ongoing emotional help, hope and healing to all who have lost a loved one in military service to our country. We were honored to have the founder and CEO of TAPS, Bonnie Carroll, and Major Zembiec’s widow, Pam, in attendance as well as two of our nation’s wounded warriors from Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Sgt. Hermino Sanchez and Sgt. Chad Wilcher.
Over 200 golfers participated in this year’s tournament utilizing both the Gunston and Woodlawn courses at Fort Belvoir. The weather was perfect and both courses were in excellent condition.
Corporate sponsorship played a key role in the tournament’s success. We would like to thank the following organizations for their generous support: IT Coalition, WSI, Deltek, ProSol Associates, Dunard Government Services, Four Points Technology, AM General, Certa Pro Painters, Pepper Hamilton LLP, SAVA, JSS, Wells Fargo, Sentel, Wells Fargo Business Credit, Bob and Bonnie Dean, Cathy DeLoach – Long and Foster, Select Auto, VSE Corporation, Trust Digital, Reese, Yeatman & Associates, Goodman and Company, Glock, Signs by Saenz, Qiviliq, Parrillo Associates, the Cunninghams and a host of other companies that donated raffle prizes.
