ProSol’s 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on August 15, 2008 at Fort Belvoir Club with proceeds benefiting two charities this year - the Semper Fi Injured Marine Fund in honor of Major Doug Zembiec, who was lost in battle in Iraq on May 10, 2007 and the George Washington Breast Care Center. With the help of generous corporate sponsorships and donations, ProSol was able to raise $40,000 for these two charities. The day was marked with perfect weather, good playing conditions and over 200 participants, allowing us to utilize both the Gunston and Woodlawn courses at Fort Belvoir.
ProSol would like to thank all the volunteers who supported this event, particularly Beth Moss and Lisa McKeon who chaired the successful event.
Corporate sponsorship also played a key role in the tournament’s success. We would like to thank the following organizations for their generous participation: IT Coalition, JSS, Portal Dynamics, Pepper Hamilton LLP, AM General, CSSI, A-T Solutions, Intelliware Systems, L3 Communications, Wells Fargo, Glock, Goodman & Company, Long and Foster, The Analysis Corporation, SAIC, ManTech, Reese, Yeatman & Associates, Guiffre’ Distributing Company, SA-TECH, Pluribus, Ameriprise, TKC Communications, Commerce Bank, Rackable Systems, Bob and Bonnie Dean, Island Athletic Club, DiamondMind Business Services and a host of other companies that provided raffle prizes.
Planning for next year’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament is already underway. We intend to hold the event in June 2009.
