ProSol’s 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on 17 Aug 2007 at Fort Belvoir with proceeds benefiting the Semper Fi Wounded Marine Fund in honor of Major Doug Zembiec, who was lost in battle in Iraq on 10 May 2007. With the help of over 170 participants, generous corporate donations, and course assistants ProSol was able to raise $25,000. The competition for the coveted first place trophy was very close, but in the end a team from the Best Western Colonial Inn of Alexandria took top honors with an impressive score of -13. The day was marked with perfect weather, good playing conditions, and was made very special by the attendance of Doug’s wife Pam and mother and father, Donald and Jo Ann Zembiec. Doug’s parents traveled all the way from Albuquerque, NM to help us honor their son’s memory.
